of this lookout point, called
Doi Kiew Lom, to be 1615 meters above sea level.

This park covers an area of 1247 square meters of mountainous terrain, and shares its northern border with Myanmar.

Wild orchids  (96k)

Many wild orchids here. We noticed many of them growing
in trees once we started
looking up...

Park workers  (110k)

These ladies take a break from keeping the park spotless and beautiful. A lot of landscaping and gardening work is required to keep this place looking as nice as it did when we visited.

Nice place to be  (102k)

Beautiful scenic views from here. the air is clean, the people are friendly and of course the views are terrific. This became a national park in 1995.

Path to lookout  (115k)

Overlooking a sprawling valley is the gazebo on the right. You can see a long distance from here, although in this park there are some points with elevations hundreds of feet higher.

The main path  (108k)

This path leads to cabins - all with terrific views overlooking the valley and nearby smaller mountains. Go to this website
to reserve a cabin!

Map of the park  (108k)

This map shows many waterfalls throughout the park, but only a couple of roads. Our road was winding in the extreme.

Small store  (116k)

Here's a little store selling snacks and such. Flowers were found everywhere around this view point, with many varieties growing wild.
