Damnuan Saduak Floating Market is located in the
Damnuan Saduak District, Ratchaburi Province, about
85 kms from Bangkok.

This seemed like a good place to take a picture, overlooking the busy canal area.

King Rama IV ordered that this Damnuan Saduak canal be dug in 1866 to connect two rivers.

The fertile land around the canal allows folks to grow the produce you see in the boats: mangoes, bananas, coconuts, chinese grapefruit and more.

The main canal is 32 kms long, and there are numerous smaller waterways throughout the coastal parts of the country.
